amélie inspired

so most of you are familiar with the french flick amélie, well those of you who are not, it is such a cute movie brilliantly filmed & OMG the lovely retro colors to surely suit your fancy. its original french title is Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain meaning “The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain” it was beautifully written by jeunet with guillaume laurant, the film is a whimsical depiction of contemporary parisian life, set in montmartre. it tells the story of a shy waitress, played by audrey tautou, who decides to change the lives of those around her for the better, while struggling with her own isolation. we fell in love with the movie & were very much inspired after watching it, we hope you love the imagery we created with the captivating amanda rodriguez. :) enjoy!
Hello! Great job with the Amelie shoot. I’m going to mention it in a post to my readers with a link to send them here. I’d like to include a bit of behind the scenes detail if you don’t mind answering a few questions.
1. Using a movie as inspiration presents interesting challenges for photographers. What was the biggest challenge in this shoot?
2. How long did it take you to put together all the props and sets?
3. Did you learn anything that surprised you by using a movie as inspiration for a shoot?
Again, great job.
Cheers,
Zeke
