this was one of the most happiest, sweetest, & most genuine weddings we have ever photographed!
we all wept happy tears though out the day, as well as laughed our faces off so much when we asked the guys to dance while brandon played his banjo. it was just a wee bit of impromptu-hoe-down that we will never ever forget!
just that head-shaking wonderful stuff that the good things in life brings on! :)
lizzy is such a natural beauty, she is so free spirited & just incredible in every way, we knew from the minute we met her when she had fresh flowers in her hair that she was our kind of gal. ;)
this wedding was just so dang lovely, the sunshine came out to say hi, & the whole place was covered with bright happy summer colors & flowers that made our hearts so cheery.
the live music was just as superb as it gets, the florist was such an outstanding talent, along with brandons mom, who made all of the bow ties using vintage materials!
lizzy & brandon have hearts of gold & are such incredible people, we wish them many happy years together!

celeste & justin’s nautical wedding was so much fun & mystic was such an unbelievably charming place to have it. OMG when we found out it was nautical inspired we were so super excited!! we were swooning over the happy colors & details alllll day long. we especially loved the engraving in the rings which read, ‘good journey’ which is a family saying & so meaningful. these two sweethearts have lots in common with us, as they love to see the world together & travel all the time! celeste & justin are such beautiful people with such amazing hearts & we know they will have such a good journey together as husband & wife!!

alicia & tony are so cute together & are going to make such great parents! omg, they really brought the inspiration out of us, spending time photographing them in the california sunshine was so heartwarming & beautiful. we just scooped up our film cameras & headed out to the countryside, & omg they blew our minds with their sincere love & stellar style. these cuties are so carefree, natural, relaxed & full of love. can’t wait to soon be meeting their new little fellow. ;)

the murphy & english families are among the most gracious & sweetest people in this whole wide world!!! they flew us out to their canada farm to document the wonderful wedding of hollis & jason, we instantly fell in love with the place & everything that we laid our eyes on was like a total dream, i think canada might be our most favorite place ever!! from the soil to the food to the people to the air to all of the antiques to the love that hollis & jason have for one another! oh they go so adorable together!
the food, omg the food, let me tell you that i could zip my pants up just fine in california, but after a few days on the murphy farm,& i had to do the ol’ lay down to zip up trick!
grandma made the wedding cakes & the bread was all fresh & yummy, the vegetables were super fresh from the garden, homemade cinnamon rolls in the morning, & OMG mrs. english makes the best lasagna in the world! not to mention the family style 20 course meal that was served at the wedding! ;)
now let me tell you a little bit about this wedding,,,
my gosh, so many giving & hardworking people helped with the wedding in so many ways, we were watching all of the hands & hearts that went into making the day so absolutely wonderful! it was truly amazing on so many levels!
the whole place was covered with tons of amazing antiques & oodles of homemade diy details, hollis even made her brooch bouquet the day of the wedding!
fun wagon rides were provided to the guests taking them from the breathtaking wedding site & back to the super fantastic reception site.
the most fun-loving band played & the family even entertained an open bar!
it was a day we will always remember all of our days & feel SUPER blessed to be a part of!! :D

kim & matt met in the brooklyn neighborhood, matt was managing a café & kim came in for soup. they had some funny & flirty flatware dilemma & the rest is history. :)

matt & kim are lovers of home brewing, coffee & hosting brunches! which any of you that know us, know that we are fans of those wonderful things in life as well. so it’s safe to say, we hit it off instantly with these two darling souls! :) it was a blast hanging out with this pair, they took us to their favorite café & places in the neighborhood. brooklyn is such a unique place & we feel so blessed & inspired by this wedding & couple on so many levels.
their fabulous brooklyn wedding was just off the hook with all kinds of unique ideas, too many to list, but we really enjoyed the antique key seating placement, which they fell in love with a bridge covered in locks engraved with sets of initials while vacationing in paris. it is meant to symbolize eternal love. the creative two fashioned their own homage to this tradition by creating the love keys to symbolize the keys to their hearts. ;)

the reception was also filled with terrariums on the tables at the reception, which the guest made & participated in a terrarium challenge. Everyone voted & awards were given by bride & grooms & peoples choice. this was such a great idea to get their friends & family involved & it also worked out as a lovely idea for the centerpieces. :)
during the ceremony the couple had moth-style stories told by their dear friends & family. it was such another amazing idea & OMG, so funny!!!
okay okay okay i know you all are wondering about this flat GORGEOUS wedding gown that kim is wearing. YES it is from the new & glorious BHLDN line!!! swoooon!
& the rings holy moly these babies are just to die for with the fingerprints of the two engraved on the inside. & the story behind the engagement ring is even that much more incredible! in kim’s words: “matt had given me a DNA trace kit for christmas that traced my DNA on my mothers side back to west africa (he’s a geneticist). he then sourced a champagne colored conflict free diamond from west africa and presented that along with silver ore from idaho (where he grew up) in a little box when he proposed. he found a jeweler in brooklyn who took those elements and made the engagement ring. the idea was to have a symbol that linked our beginnings to our present and into our future. he also presented what he called a ‘ghost ring’ in the engagement box, which was a champagne colored acrylic representation of a classic Tiffany set diamond ring from the artist by:AMT. he asked me to wear that as a placeholder for the ring to come.” oh my goodness, isn’t that the coolest & most thoughtful thing ever?!
the food from this wedding made our taste buds dance in delight. it was the best best best grub & we had a great time & tons of fun eating off of the traditional brooklyn style food truck. :)
all in all, this wedding was so much damn fun & we literally had no sleep until after brooklyn. haha ;)
